We visit Pegasus Bridge and take a look at St. Mère Eglise, where the ‘Band of Brothers’ fought. With a 5-day tour option also available, delve even deeper into the events that shaped our modern world.

Tur Programı

Day 1: Arrival in Munich & The Rise of a Regime

Your journey begins with a flight from Dublin to Munich. Upon arrival, you’ll be greeted by your dedicated Tour Manager and transferred to your hotel. After settling in, we’ll walk to the famous Löwenbräu beer hall, the historic location of Hitler’s failed 1923 Beer Hall Putsch, for lunch (at your own expense). In the afternoon, a guided tour of Munich will immerse you in the city’s Third Reich history. We will visit Königsplatz, the vast square used for mass rallies, see the former Nazi powerbase at Brienner Strasse, and stand before the Fuhrerbau, where the fateful Munich Agreement was signed.

Day 2: Dachau, Lietenburg Hill & Aviation History

Today offers a sobering and powerful experience with a guided tour of the Dachau Concentration Camp Memorial Site. As the first and only camp to remain open for the entire 12 years of the Third Reich, Dachau provides a comprehensive and moving insight into the lives of its prisoners, from its opening until its liberation in April 1945. We will also visit the nearby SS Shooting range and Lietenburg Hill. In stark contrast, we will see the pretty town of Dachau itself before continuing to the Deutsches Museum Flugwerft Oberschleißheim, an impressive aviation museum displaying aircraft, helicopters, and engines from the era.

Day 3: The Eagle’s Nest & Hitler’s Mountain Retreat

We journey high into the Bavarian Alps to Berchtesgaden, an area that became a haven for the Nazi elite. Our destination is the legendary Eagle’s Nest (Kehlsteinhaus), Hitler’s personal mountain retreat and a second seat of his government. We will explore this remarkable feat of engineering, as well as the Documentation Centre and the vast network of underground bunkers and tunnels that snake through the mountain, revealing the inner workings of the Nazi leadership.

Day 4: Free Time in Munich & Departure

After a final breakfast at the hotel, you will have some free time to explore Munich at your leisure. Perhaps you’ll revisit a site that captivated you, or simply enjoy the atmosphere of this vibrant Bavarian city. Later, you will be transferred to Munich Airport for your return flight to Dublin, carrying with you the profound stories and secrets of the Third Reich.
